Beginning Monday, December 8, Route 24X Airport/Downtown Express will be renamed Route 78 - Cheektowaga Express. A schedule can be found here.

DL&W Station is now open
DL&W Station is open as of December 8, 2025. Work on the pedestrian bridge and east tower station entrance is expected to be completed in 2026. More information on the DL&W renewal project can be found on nfta.com.
Church Street Station main platform closed for construction.
Church Street Station will be under construction until 2026. Please use temporary platforms to board the rail. Click here and here for renderings of the new station design.

Effective June 4, Marine Drive between Main and Commercial will be closed due to construction until further notice.
Route 8 inbound buses are rerouted. See map for details.

At the beginning and end of major Key Bank Center events, such as Sabres games and concerts, reroutes might be in effect for Routes 8, 14, 15, 16, 24, and 42. Current reroutes can be found at the Metro Alerts page. Maps of reroutes for these events can be found here.

Starting December 7, 2025, NFTA-Metro is launching a Pilot that will provide extended PAL service hours.
PAL trips will be available in the core service area whenever a Metro bus or rail is in service. Express corridors will also operate during a standardized span of service hours.
